Wreck the Halls, a Holiday Musical Revue
Name: Wreck the Halls, a Holiday Musical Revue
Date: December 1, 2017 - December 30, 2017
Ever since its debut in 2015, patrons of The Ridgefield Theater Barn have been asking box office personnel when Wreck the Halls will return. Happily, the answer is this December! Bradford Blake’s original musical revue – Wreck the Halls, which he also directs, is back by popular demand with its original cast. Little is sacred in this SLAY ride of adult humor that rips the shiny bows and pretty wrapping off the holiday season. The funny, musical (and naughty) holiday fare will be presented Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm, December 1st through 30th, with Sunday matinees December 10th & 17th. There will be no performances on Christmas Eve, but there will be a very special party and show on December 31st to ring in the New Year with music, laughter, and fun. For those who missed its previous run, Wreck the Halls features two acts of music-filled satire and burlesque that turns the last quarter of the calendar belly up. The hysterical talents of Bradford Blake, Carey van Hollen, Duane Lanham, Diana Matson, Priscilla Squiers, and Alexis Vournazos, along with Musical Direction by Charles Smith, will guide us from Labor Day to New Year’s Eve lambasting and roasting those dear holiday characters we’ve come to treasure over the years. But audiences should be warned – they’ll never look at Kris Kringle the same way again. Due to adult situations and language, it is not recommended for the younger elves. Tickets for Wreck the Halls (excluding 12/31) are $38 for adults and $30 for students, seniors, and veterans, and can be purchased at a $4 Early Bird discount per ticket if reserved before November 24th. Seating is cabaret style and patrons are encouraged to bring food and drink to enjoy before the show. Doors open one hour prior to curtain. The special New Year’s Eve presentation includes appetizers, dinner, dessert, wine and beer, with a champagne toast, and all the appropriate noisemakers and surprises for a festive start to 2018! Tickets are $150/person. Reservations and more information is available at www.ridgefieldtheaterbarn.org.
